Apartment & Condo Moving
High-rise and walk-up moves with elevator reservations, COIs, and tight-stairwell handling.
Pianos, safes, gym equipment, art, and warehouse storage between two dates.
Some objects are not a furniture problem, they are an engineering problem. An upright piano is 500 to 800 pounds on casters that will destroy a hardwood floor. A gun safe is 1,200 pounds with a high center of gravity and no good handholds. A commercial treadmill weighs more than the two people who will try to carry it. These get quoted per piece with the right equipment and crew size.
For pianos we use a piano board, straps, and skid protection, and we survey the path in advance for turn radius and door width. Uprights, spinets, and consoles are routine; grands are dismantled, legs and lyre removed, and shell-wrapped on a board. We give you an honest answer about stairs: the piano that went down three flights in 1998 is not always going back up.
Safes are moved on heavy-duty machine dollies with stair-climbing equipment where the staircase geometry allows, and we tell you plainly when a staircase, a landing turn, or a floor structure makes it a no. Gym equipment is broken down to transportable sections and reassembled on site when the manufacturer hardware permits. Fine art and antiques get custom crating by arrangement.
Storage covers the gap between closing dates. Your goods are inventoried, wrapped, and stored in a clean, dry Denver warehouse in individual vaults, not loose on an open floor with someone else's patio set leaning on your headboard. Access is by appointment, billing is monthly with no long contract, and redelivery is scheduled with the same crew standards as the original move.
Specialty items quoted per piece; storage from $95/month per vault. Labor is billed in 15-minute increments once the 3-hour minimum is met.
| Crew | Truck | Hourly rate | Typical job |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 movers | 16 ft box truck | $149 / hr | Studio or 1-bedroom apartment |
| 3 movers | 20 ft box truck | $199 / hr | 2-bedroom apartment or small house |
| 4 movers | 26 ft box truck | $259 / hr | 3-bedroom house with garage |
| 5 movers | 26 ft box truck | $319 / hr | 4-bedroom house or small office |
| 2 movers | Labor only, your truck | $129 / hr | Loading a rental truck or container |
All labor is billed in 15-minute increments after a 3-hour minimum. Truck and equipment fee is quoted per job, never hidden inside the hourly line.
An upright on a ground-floor to ground-floor route typically runs $350 to $550 as a standalone job. Stairs, long carries, and grand pianos raise it. If the piano is part of a larger household move it is added as a line item rather than a separate trip, which is usually cheaper.
We handle safes up to roughly 1,500 pounds on level ground routes, and lower limits apply on stairs depending on the staircase and the floor structure. Send a photo of the safe and the route and we will tell you yes or no before you book, not on move day.
Storage is billed monthly per vault, starting from the date of load-in, with no minimum term beyond the first month. There is no re-handling fee for the initial load-in, and redelivery is quoted as a standard local move based on crew size and distance.
